Feeling alot better now :)
OK, so the antibiotics must be helping. I think the tired and sick feeling that I am now getting when exerting myself is just the Cyclosporin side effects. No more monster headache and spinning head. Ears still feel off though. Hopefully the remaining 3 days of Penicillin will sort that out if not, back to the doc to see what's next. I don't want to half fix an ear infection and be left with it lingering in the background. It will come back to bite me I'm sure! and I'm rather fond of my hearing and balance so don't want to take chances there. Cyclosporin still doing it's thing though. Skin is getting clearer and clearer. By the time I get around to taking pictures I'll probably be completely clear It won't have been so much a picture diary as just before and after. Nevermind. I'm sure you lot won't mind anyway.

Oh pants, I've got an infection!
Hello all, I'm having a close call with the Cyclosporin it seems. I have been very poorly the last 3 days. Headache/fever/dizzy/nausea/stiff back/stiff neck etc.. etc.. I figured I better go to see my doctor today and _not_ go to work like the day before. (Why did I go work on Wed? I just don't know....) She was very thorough, examined me, asked lots of questions. Conclusion is I have an infection in my ears/nose/throat. She was quite concerned and if it hadn't been for me having a normal temperature when I saw her she would have had me down the hospital for further investigation! So I have a weeks course of Penicillin and strict instructions to monitor my temperature and 2 or 3 other symptoms that would indicate something more serious was brewing. If my neck gets so stiff I can't get my chin down to my chest or my headache gets worse than it was when I saw her or my temperature gets up to 39'C then it's action stations. I fell better now than earlier but still not well by a country mile. Fingers crossed for good nights sleep and waking up without a headache for the first time to 3 days!
On the bright side my blood pressure hasn't risen since being on Cyclo and my blood work up from Mon is all normal.
And, the main thing, my skin is still improving. Slower than at first but hey ho.

Fail.
Totally frustrated right now, I managed two months on this med, it has done a lot for my skin but I just can't take the side effects. You have to find a balance with these treatments and personally I'd rather find something that allows me to feel human even if that means being a spotty scabby one. So back to the drawing board, time to go cold turkey for a while and see what's next. I hope my experience doesn't put anyone off giving it a try, for a lot of people this drug is extremely effective and many have no problems with side-effects, I just have to be difficult!

Cyclosporin, Positive Results :)
Hi Vicki, I had Methotrexate for about 3 months but the benefit was far outweighed by the side effects it had on me. I haven't had Remicade and I don't know what it is. We are all different though and what suits one may not another. Good luck with your MTX+Remicade combo!
All the best, Daniel.

Cyclosporin, Positive Results :)
Not familiar with cyclosporin....what is it? After 4 years of seeing a derm...I was sent to a rhuem and was diagnosed with PA. Evidently I had the psoriasis before the PA or for many many years I have had what they diagnosed as fibromyalgia. The derm and rhuem are working together and have decided to try Remicade with methotrexate. Have you had that in the past?
